Bizarre...
'Lead by example rather than instruction and see whether your pupils don't make progress by leaps and bounds. Your imagination and creativity are the best tools you have when it comes to sharing your knowledge.'

That's my horoscope for today... and that's bizarre... 'coz I didn't remember mentioning my profession and my horoscope for today was exactly about it.

Now I'm really curious... Is this horoscope gonna apply to all capricorns? I guess not as not all capris are teachers, aren't they? Or is it that the Internet is finally able to go beyond the cyber world and somehow read people's mind, kind of like ESP? Ok, I admit, that was my far-fetched imagination. For all you know, I'm just being forgetful and did indeed indicate my profession when I signed up for this daily horoscope service. *grinz*...
But then again.... you may never know the true powers of the Internet..........*laffs*
P.S: To all educators and everyone concerned, it is true though that we should lead by example. It's more effective that way. I shall not elaborate more 'coz I'm sure much stress have been on that theory from all the workshops we've attended. *smilez*

Bunga Bakawali - The Night Blooming Cereus
My dad's discharged from hospital today, after staying in NUH since Tuesday night. He had a mild attack which scared us. Thank God he's better now but he has to go back to the hospital for another ballooning procedure next month.

The weird thing is, this whole incident just made me a lil melancholic today and the weider part is that I'm listening to this malay song, 'Bakawali' and I'm enjoying it very much. It kinda complements the mood I'm in right now.

I think the song lyrics just felt meaningful to me. And it interests me to realise how the songwriter connects a flower to facts of life.

Bakawali, which is also known as the Night Blooming Cereus, apparently is a rare flower that blooms only once and it will only bloom in the middle of the dark night. It also lets out a very strong scent and seems to glow in the night. Take a look at a picture of this magnificent flower:

Doesn't it look amazing? *smilez*

Apparently, the songwriter relates the blooming of the Bakawali flower to real life, saying how if one just keeps dreaming, then work will not be done and in the end, we ourselves will lose out. Just like in the Bakawali's case, it blooms only once, and after that, it's over. So that's life. We only get to live once so I guess we have to make full use of it and fill it with lots of meaningful memories... *smilez*

Entertained...
It's only 7.15am and it's Saturday! A day that I didn't have to go to school, but still I woke up early 'coz of the flu and cough I'm having. And worse, it was like a baking oven in my room. I was sweating so much, that it got too uncomfy.

Waking up early on Saturday morning would just mean a movie marathon for me. But I couldn't watch movie on my TV with the speakers on, since most people are still sleeping. So I decided to go online and watch some movies online. I thought of looking through some music videos first. And.... I got an interesting one. It's a song by Pussycat Dolls, 'Beep'. It's not a new song. But I was entertained by the music video as it was done the Sims style. I've never played the Sims ('coz I'm bad at playing reality/3-d games), but I found the musicvideo cool.

So, to all of you, check the video out...
