Love is difficult to explain...
And those were the exact words of a cab driver.. *grinz*

It started off with a ride back home. After my dearie sent me off in a cab last Sunday, the cab driver started to talk to me and the conversation goes like this:

Cab driver: Is that your boyfriend?
Me: Yup.
Cab driver: Where is he from?
Me: Myanmar.
Cab driver: Why don't you get a Singaporean boyfriend?
Me: (Wanted to say 'None of your business') I don't know.. it's fated, I guess.
Cab driver: Very messy later.
Me: Why? What's so messy?
Cab driver: What if he asks you to go back with him to his country?
Me: No, he's getting PR soon.
Cab driver: How did the two of you meet? Friend's recommendation?
Me: (Thinking about how nosy this cab driver is) Yeah.
Cab driver pauses.... and after a very looong pause....
Cab driver: Love is very difficult to explain huh...
Me: (can't be bothered to prolong the conversation... so just smiled.)

But to be honest, I don't really know how to answer the question to why don't I find a Singaporean boyfriend. It's not that Singaporean guys are bad and hopeless and useless and unreliable... Not all anyway.. It's just... well... fated for me to love someone whose roots are from another country.

Anyway, come tomorrow, 1 April 2008, it will be 2 years!! 2 years since the both of us have been together... Whatever trials we've been through, they've only served to make us stronger, we're thankful for that. Here's to our 2 years of lurve and many, many, many more years to come. Amin~ *smilez*

Varied week...
It's been a week full of surprises...

It started with a scare from my dearie... the thought of loneliness ahead overcame me and depression mode set in for a whole night. It's been a while since I last had bucketsful of tears and woke up with puffy eyes. Nonetheless, glad it's over and all's well now... *smilez*

And another cause for celebration.. I got promoted! Yay!~ It's actually a relief to me, especially since I was disappointed last year. But my hard work paid off. And with this promotion, it's spurred me on to get myself a degree. Paper qualifications do matter in the end. It gives you the extra edge in certain ways. That's why I've registered for a place in UniSIM. Hopefully, I can get a place there. *prays*

Now, time to start gearing up my mentality for uni studies... *winkz*

Are you more China now?
N.O. - No... I'm not more China now. In fact, my trip to China have made me appreciate Singapore more. I miss my homeland even though I was away for only 7 days. It's true when they say... home sweet home. *smilez*

Let's start with the positive... It's a country rich in history and culture. It's also blooming in science and technology. In Suzhou and Hangzhou, I'm awed by the scenery.. peaceful and calming. It's no wonder people can have longer lives here. In Shanghai, the architecture of this modern city amazed me. By day, you'll be amused with some of the unique architectural designs. By night, the whole city lights up in magnificent wonder. Simply beautiful....

But what makes me miss hometown most is the food. Yes, there was food every day for lunch and dinner... but nothing beats the local food here. I got sick of the food there by the third day. And yes, there were lots of opportunities for shopping... but due to my tight budget, I didn't shop much, so there goes another Singapore lifestyle not fulfilled in China. *grinz*

Overall, there were just too much walking to enjoy much of the scenery. I'd little time to stop and admire China's beauty. But one thing I hated the most was the weather! True, it was at the end of winter, but..... it was still cold! I fell sick on the last day of the trip. By the time we settled in on our SIA flight back home, we were all so shagged. All of us just quietly enjoyed the flight back home. And now, I'm back home since Monday night... HOME SWEET HOME! *smilez*

Here's some photos for you to enjoy... more photos available at my friendster.
