And it was a slooooww process! The doc took blood from my hand and all the way she was saying, "The blood's coming out real slow." I think it took 5 minutes for her to collect my blood sample. Argh! Two days later, the blood test confirmed that I had dengue, and I had to take two more blood tests to monitor my platelets count. *shudder*T
The whole ordeal was horrible. So now, eventhough I managed to lose some weight, given a choice, I wouldn't want to go through it again. My appetite just came back a few days ago, but even so, I still can't eat much. And worse, the fasting month's started, and I've missed a number of days! *sighz*
Anyway, I'm just glad that I'm on the road to recovery now. So to all my friends, beware of the Aedes mosquito! Dengue's horrible!
When I showed it to my dearest and my two friends on Saturday, they asked, "Who's this?" I was quite surprised 'coz to me, it looked obvious. Well, probably becoz I'm just so used to myself by now. But then when I took a closer look, I looked different from that angle. Anyway, I was just trying to wake myself up, meddling with my mobile. That's one of the times that makes me appreciate having one. *winks*
By the way, I had a great time celebrating Teachers' Day on Friday, eating at Breeks with my close buddy-cum-colleague. Ate a set lunch, with beef steak as the main course. Yummy! And it was continued on Saturday night, with my dearest, his friends and my galfrens. We had a good laugh recollecting the events of that night. There was even a lesson learnt... when someone says, "I'm ok, I'm ok." it doesn't necessarily carry the meaning intended. *laffs*
Happy Teachers' Day 2007 to all my colleagues and fellow teachers out there. Hope you continue to be strong-willed and persevere when handling the little devilz. Here's leaving you with my favourite teacher quote: "They don't care how much you know, 'till they know how much you care. "
